When Rubber Meets Clay...

Hiya, Peeps!!  Today's my day!!

My day to be the Hostess with the Most-est over on the Saturated Canary YouTube channel, that is :-)

So, after much contemplation, I realize that I've been neglecting my poor SC rubbah, in favor or my digi collection.

love digis---but there are some things a digi just can't do...

Like rock out an awesome impression in clay!!!

I've used my Saturated Canary 'Bella' stamp to turn a simple lump of clay into a fabulously wearable piece of jewelry :-)

Isn't she awesome??!!?

And the best part?  Paper clay is super light weight, so wearing her is pain free.  And pain free jewelry is my favorite kind!!

Okee doke folks, if you wanna see how she came together, hop on over to the Saturated Canary YouTube channel and check it out!!

Oh, and just a reminder, Momma's Day is coming up, ya know.

You may or may not find yourself in the position of needing a little gifty.

Just sayin.

TAG, You're It!!

Hello!

Today, a brand new challenge begins over on The Octopode Factory's challenge blog.  The theme this time is TAGS, sooooo tag---you're it!!

For my tag, I've colored up Lily's Whimsical Cheshire Cat.  Love him and his loooooooong legs!

And you know I had to add some dots.  I kinda have a thing for dots---punches, sequins and inked :-)

Here's a close-up of Mr. Smiles, himself...

Ok, that's it for me!  Now, hop on over and check out the rest of the DT's fabby creations and then go get crafty :-)

I LOVE YOU, TONY!!

Who's excited for the new Iron Man movie??  I'm a fan!!  Just sayin'.

I'm super excited!!

My Hubby and I usually have a standing date for opening night on all movies we're both excited for, but this one happens to fall smack dab in the middle of my NSD scrap retreat.

Aww, well!  To ease the pain, here's a little card I've whipped up for the Hubbster for using Lily's Iron Man digi

How much do I love this image?!!?  He's iron.  He's a man.  He's too cute for words!!

I actually have a piece of an old Avenger's comic book straight from a Gauche Alchemy kit, and I just had to snap a shot of this card with it :-)

Here's a close-up...

Ok, now it's time for a little confession...

I was totally stressin' about coloring up this little guy!!  I mean, what if I colored him in the wrong proportion of red to gold?  What if I made some other unknown faux pas that only a true comic purist would understand?

All I can say is that I haven't been blasted yet!  My boys both LOVED him, so I'm pretty sure dad will, too :-)

Have fun this week, my peeps!!

Frilly Town.

Hello and how are ya?!??

Soooo, my precious baby girl had a birthday over the weekend.  She's now a fully functional eight year old.

I tried to convince her that she was turning seven again this year, but apparently she doesn't appreciate repeating birthdays as much as I do.

I think I was twenty-eight for three years, at least ;-)

All this girly party planning and togetherness, has me fully stuck in Frilly Town.

We're talkin' twirly skirts, sparkle shoes, nail polish and bling rings---so when Oozak's latest challenge turned out to be Anything Goes with Ribbon, Lace and Pearls, I was in crafty hog heaven!!

Here's what I came up with...

I colored up one of my all time fave The Greeting Farm stamps, Stella

She looks so much like my girl!!

Same do---same chubby face :-)

The background and ribbon were colored up with a bit of Dusty Concord Distress Ink.

I'm soooooo feelin' the purple!

I stamped a simple sentiment on the inside.

And here's the close-up...

Are you feelin' the call of your ribbon, lace and pearls??  If so, grab your stash and whip up something puuurrrrty to link up :-)

OH!!  And just a heads up, Oozak is currently smack dab in the middle of a Design Team Call!  If you wanna play, hop on over and cha-cha-check it out!!

Oh, Hoppy Day!!

Hiya, Peeps!!  I hope your Easter Holiday was a 'hoppy' one!

Mine was wonderful

I had amazing opportunities to explain the true meaning of Easter with all three of my children at different times.  It truly is a wonder to see them each grow spiritually and come to understand the gift of grace we've been given and celebrate each Easter.

God is good!!!

Today, I have a fun, Easter-inspired card to share with you :-)  Easter.  That's the newest challenge theme over on The Octopode Factory's challenge blog!

For my card, I've colored up Easter Wilma and Walnut the bunny.  How sweet are they??

This whole card was inspired by none other than everyone's favorite neon, sugar-covered Easter treat!  Yep, the bright colors are totally reminiscent of a full-on Peep-A-Thon ;-)

All colorful---all the time!!

Aaaaand, here's the close-up!  How much do I love this lime-tastic hair??  I'll definitely be playing around with new and fabulously colorful hair hues :-)

Okey-doke!!  That's it from this peanut gallery.  Now, head on over and check out the rest of the DT inspiration and get hoppin' on an Easter creation of your very own!

xx.
